V4 Beta Available
I just uploaded the first build of V4 to the normal location, http://www.grzsoftware.com/v2dl.php . I think it should be stable enough to use regularly and it will install next to V3 or V2 without overwriting anything. Just be aware that this build will expire in a month so you’ll have to download the new versions as they are released to try them.

Bug found in the 3D roughing.

You do not see this from the projected cut path in meshcam, only in cutViewer. Only happens on the first pass. Real easy to duplicate with a simple box (bug2)
If you need more info, let me know.

“Always use Inch” is broken.
It seems to work for me but I may be doing something different than you. Is it using MM instead or is it still popping up the units dialog.

Adam-
I was able to duplicate that behavior today on one of my projects and it seems to be valid (at least on my part it was). The outermost ring of the contour pass is actually above the top of stock because of the value chosen for “Stock to leave”. The short move that appears to cause a gouge is actually just a link between the two rings of the toolpath and causes no actual gouging of the final part.
Can you give the actual toolpath a critical look in the MeshCAM display to see if your case is the same as mine?

The dialog keeps popping up. Maybe i forgot to check the box, as I was so excited to see it.
I’ll check tonight.
Also, check my post in the Development section of the forum.
It works as long as I keep MC open. But next time I run it, it’ll ask me again.
Is MeshCAM shutting down normally or is it being terminated by you and the process manager?
Closing normally. I load a model, and check the box. I can then load another model (or more), and I don’t get the dialog. Then, I close MeshCAM normally, and when restarted, the dialog is back.
