Newbe Question.

General MeshCAM Questions

Re: Newbe Question.

Ok- I think I've got a fix. I realized that I have an optimization in the code for very small triangles like the ones in your model. Unfortunately, I've optimized for speed, not for memory usage. I think I've come up with a fix that will reduce the memory use by a lot and not affect the accuracy of your toolpath ( and hopefully not the toolpaths of others with similar models). It will be released in the next update- probably in a few days.

Thanks for the help on this.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the update on your progress. Looking forward to trying the new version, when it is available.
I will have to find some more .stl files now. :D

Best regards,

Tweakie.

Much better. Uses about 100Mb with the model loaded, and about 500Mb more to create the toolpaths. Thanks again.
