What is "Toolpath Simulation"
Toolpath simulation is a virtual representation of the cutting process in CNC machining. It allows CNC users to visualize and test the cutting process before physically machining the part. Toolpath simulation can be performed in two ways, by visualizing the toolpath and by simulating the final part.
A simple visualization of the toolpath allows the user to see where the tool will travel as a series of lines.
3D simulation gives a more realistic representation of the final part. It takes into account all of the parameters set by the user, including tool type and size, to show a representation of what the final part will look like.
Toolpath simulation is a valuable tool for CNC machining, as it reduces the risk of production errors that could damage a part or the CNC machine itself.
